(This is an editorial I wrote for the St Joseph's Theological Institute Magazine (Imbizo 2005). )

It seems as though it was yesterday when we began the academic year here at St Joseph's Theological Institute. Wow! Time is passing so quickly that one does not even have time for doing nothing.

Anyhow, following last year's edition, I want us, in this, the second edition of Imbizo, to continue looking at St Joseph's transition and add a few more things. Before I proceed, I want to thank the previous editorial crew for the work well done.

Well, looking at how the year has been, I would like to bring forward some of the highlights in the life of our Institute. There are many things that can be talked about. To mention but a few, we have a full recognition of our Institute as a Private Institution of Higher Education and we heard much more about this from the President's message of September 2, 2005.

We have been having the Youth for life programme (Aids Action) running in full swing and I want to say thank you to the coordinator and all the members who worked tirelessly through out the year. Besides, we have seen a group of Peace and Justice (CSJP) being born and thanks to all involved. Gender committee is also operating, which is very good.

In all this, we cannot forget the entertainment and sports committees. They kept us going and we thank them. We also thank the former student forum executive as we welcome the new one. New lecturers came in and some will be leaving the Institute. Anyhow, one can go on mentioning but to finish, a big thank you to everyone, especially the lecturers.

We thank God for all the blessings we have received through out the year and ask for more blessings.
